D. B. Cooper is the name given to an unidentified person who hijacked a plane on Thanksgiving Eve in 1971. He requested, and was given, a large ransom then parachuted from the plane. This case is still unsolved. No one knows if he survived the jump or his true identity. In this class, we will discuss the case that has stumped the FBI for 50 years and explore various theories, in regards to his identity and fate, that have been presented over the years. I have an Associate of Art in Criminal Justice (CJ) and two years of upper level CJ coursework. I have a Bachelor of Art in Maritime Studies with a focus in anthropology. Anthropology is the objective study of cultures and how societies live(d) and interact(ed). I also have a minor in anthropology focusing on Ancient civilizations (Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome) as well as more recent civilizations including the Mayans, Aztecs, and other Native American societies.
