🎓 Teacher Expertise and Credentials 🎓

🔹 Began playing oboe at age 11; quickly fell in love with its unique sound.  

🔹Performed with the Boston Youth Symphony Orchestra in high school, touring Europe and the Middle East.  

🔹Earned a Doctor of Musical Arts Degree and a Master of Music Degree in Oboe Performance from SUNY/Stony Brook, studied with renowned oboists Ronald Roseman and Stephen Taylor.  Attended Amherst College for two years.  BA from Sarah Lawrence College; studied with Ronald Roseman.

🔹Extensive professional experience with orchestras, chamber groups and solo performances in the NYC area, including the Manhattan Chamber Orchestra and Choir of Sacred Music.  

🔹Founding member of the Phoenix Trio (oboe, violin, cello) and Constellation Trio (flute, oboe, guitar).  Member of the chamber group, North Shore Pro Musica.  


🎵 Teaching Highlights  🎵

🔹 Over 40 years of experience teaching oboe to junior high and high school students.  

🔹 Students have been accepted to top music schools, including Juilliard, Eastman, and New England Conservatory.  

🔹 Certified Music For People improvisation teacher; performed and recorded with Grammy-winning cellist David Darling.  

 🔹Expertise in combining classical training with improvisation and sound production techniques.

🔹 Adapted to online teaching via Zoom during the Covid-19 pandemic.  

🔹 Excited to connect with learners worldwide and explore their unique musical journeys.
