Hi! My name is Ms. Maddy Bee.

Welcome to my Virtual Classroom, “The Happy Hive”

 I am an organized, energetic, and passionate preschool teacher. I taught preschool for 20 years.  My 20 years of experience included working in the same school for ten years and three years with an in-home childcare where I was approved by the state of Florida to teach the Voluntary Prekindergarten Program better known as (VPK). After working in the Preschool setting for so many years.  I decided to take a break from the classroom but continued with my passion of being around children. I volunteered as a Sunday school teacher and babysat for friends. As a Sunday school teacher, I not only cared for and taught the children but helped behind the scenes to organize and create age appropriate lessons and activities for children ages three through five. 

My goal has always been to meet the academic needs of each child individually by fostering the natural curiosity of children through play-based, hands on lessons and activities that will spark joy. I create most of my own teaching tools. I like to take “ordinary” materials that you buy at the dollar store and turn them into “extraordinary” teaching resources that can bring any concept/skill to life.

Here at “The Happy Hive” children will experience the Fun of being at a birthday party with the structure and learning of a classroom. I will bring books to life and use Storytime to teach math, literacy, science, and life skills. My promise to you is that I will always strive to create a learning experience that is both memorable and meaningful. To intentionally instill in children a love of learning that will last a lifetime.
