What is one tried and true way to help your brain retain what you're being taught in class? Good notes! One of life's most invaluable skills, being able to take notes is foundational for academic success and enhancing your study time. In this self-paced course, we'll discuss 3 methods of note taking focusing primarily on paper methods (although a brief overview of these methods being used digitally will be given). On your chosen start date, your learner will be given 2 weeks access to me to answer any questions to for help on picking a strategy that'd work best for them, but they'll be given access to all of the information to access for a year. Please note, that this is a self-paced course where all of the information is pre-recorded and access to me for questions is only during the time you sign up for.

Gathering supplies
This lesson will be a quick guide for what supplies may or may not be useful as your student learns to take notes. We'll discuss things like digital vs paper notetaking as well as options for color coding.
課 2:
3 Ways to Take Notes
This lesson will be a guide on three different means to take notes. We'll focus on the Cornell method, the doodle maps method, and using graphic organizers to help retain information. There will be a brief overview of how to use these methods in the digital sphere but we will be focusing our time on practicing with paper means.
課 3:
Let's practice!
In this lesson, we'll watch a 5 minute TEDTalk and practice using the 3 methods we learned in week 2.
