This class will give your child an opportunity to learn facts and traditions from Scotland with others in an interactive way. The session will begin with an introduction of Scotland, pin pointing where it is on a map and what other countries are around it. We will then look at some of the well known mountains and lakes that make Scotland world famous, and play a game to help us remember. Our studies will then focus on Loch Ness, and Loch Ness monster, better known as "Nessie". The children...
Students will learn about geographical features of Scotland and the U.K. They will learn new vocabulary such as "Loch" and "Munro" and "myth". On a map students will identify Scotland and the seas and land that surround it. They will then learn about the Scottish traditional myth of the Lochness Monster. Students will learn to draw a simple sea-like monster.
