In our one-time class together, we’ll be discovering what fire is! Many have wondered if a fire is gas or solid; we will be considering this subject. There will be a review of the most common states of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. Then we will discuss plasma, a less common state of matter. In class, learners will be engaged as they understand: ➢ what fire is ➢ how fire burns ➢ why it appears as different colors ➢ why we hear firewood crackle ➢ and much more Fire is not to be played...
After completing this class learners will be able to: • Identify what fire is • Describe some properties of fire • Define natural states of matter characteristics
