This is part two of a three-part series to level up your vocabulary and essay writing skills. The three parts may be taken at any time and in any order.


What to expect:
Interactive Elements

Drag-and-drop words to match silent letters with the correct examples.
Quizzes with clickable options for immediate feedback.
Moveable Visuals

Animated elements like floating leaves or moving animals (e.g., a silent owl symbolizing silent letters).
Dragging visuals like a knot, a wrist, or a castle into word-related categories.
Animal Animations and Nature Theme

Animations like birds flying in the background or animals "whispering" silent letters.
A nature-themed background, such as a forest or meadow.

I use multiple engagement activities throughout each lesson and apply strategies for multiple learning styles. I model how to do everything I ask students to do.  I will help to focus a student's attention on that goal and the easiest steps we can take to get the results that are desired.

Interactive Spelling Bees, Sentence Creation, and Word Games will appear at the teacher's discretion and are focused with individual student learning in mind as well as the whole group.

Students interact with teacher continuously through conversation. Class environment is warm and structured. Teacher pulls participation from all students and the atmosphere is light and friendly. Teacher uses a variety of methods to provide instruction: consistent modeling and review, slides, video clips, photos related to topic to build background and enhance comprehension. Easy discussion occurs near 80% in each class.

🌱The Best Way to Practice Spelling Words is in Nature
Long-term retention of information and vocabulary words takes place in long-term memory.
Example: Spell your words to your favorite tree.

This implies that words & spelling rules should remain relevant to you for use in a week, month, or even a year after it has been committed to long-term memory.

Making words & spelling rules meaningful to you is the first step towards transferring words from your short-term memory to your long-term memory.

**You will often hear us revisit previous slides and information to reinforce this learning. This includes practicing with previous quizzes and having students describe nature photos in detail.***



*Students will need to have their camera on and participate fully. 
*I will keep note of which lesson your student has completed, in case a break is needed due to vacation or absence. 
*This is not a lecture type of class. Students do need to participate fully.

Due to the nature of this course, a student should have at least a beginner level of English fluency. 

This course is meant to run as 20 meetings in succession. I do suggest students meet with me twice per week for 10 weeks to reach optimum progress.

I teach classes for grades 2-12 for Neurodivergent and Traditional Students. I utilize numerous strategies to teach learners of all backgrounds and abilities. I teach a wide array of students with unique learning needs.
