3 小時 20 分鐘 上課時間作業
每週 1-2 小時. Students will be asked to take pictures outside in their own yard or neighborhood. We will be focusing on techniques to capture our surroundings using natural light, so they will be asked to use their own cameras to take pictures. We will then share the photos in class and talk about possible edits and have a kind critique.評估
I will end the class with a short critique of the photos that have been turned in during class (the student's portfolio). It will be an informal assessment or a constructive critique of the photos turned in and shared.我們無法翻譯此文,請刷新頁面並再試一次。
課堂經歷
What can you expect from this class? We will go from learning about some wonderful nature photography techniques to presenting our own photos! In our first class we will talk about the ways to photograph with natural lighting and using our own surroundings. We will also look at nature photography common mistakes and things we should be careful of when photographing nature and wildlife. I will be bringing slides and photographic equipment and examples as visual aids in this lesson. We will have a bit of a refresher on some photo techniques if the students have any questions. In our second class we will talk about our project! I will be using example slides and informational tips in this lesson. Our class project will be to go out into nature. That will mean something different for each student. It can be a porch, back yard, or a neighborhood park. We will go over tips and tricks for taking pictures in locations specific to the students. I will encourage students to plan out their project, but we all know, in art happy accidents are always possible. In our third class, we will have our first kind critique. We will look at everyone's photos and share ideas. We will go over questions like: "What you do to get the photos?" "What do you like about your photos?" I will give tips for each student to use in their photos. It will be constructive criticism. This class will be more discussion than slides and examples. We will all be given one more mini assignment, to bring one favorite photo to class number 4. We will go over this mini assignment in detail in the end of this lesson. In our fourth and final class we will answer questions and talk about any challenges the students faced in completing their projects. We will also look at each student's final photo they bring. We will talk about ways to edit and bring out the best in our photos. Sometimes it is just a crop, and sometimes it is more. I will share my screen and show some editing techniques we can use. I'm so excited to meet my students for this 4 part series! Please Note: this class greatly benefits from learner interaction and is geared for beginning learners. This class will not go forward without the minimum enrollments met. In the event that we have fewer than 4 learners, I will message adults approx 36 hours before the class is set to start and offer options or a refund.
學習目標
We will begin our first class talking about the possibilities in nature photography. By the end of the 4 part class, students will have newly photographed and critiqued work. They will have tips and tools to make beautiful photos in their own back yard!

供應清單
A camera of some kind will be required for assignments. I will be working with a professional digital camera, but students may use a smart phone, point and shoot, DSLR, Polaroid etc. Please bring cameras you will be using to class. I will be happy to answer any questions about the student's cameras. Optional supplies: If you have a phone camera or an ipad, these can be used to add some versatility to the cameras. They are by no means mandatory, but they are a great and affordable way to have a mini upgrade. https://amzn.to/3iGsuMX

Hello there!
Who am I?!
Hi! I'm Tamea! I'm a photographer and I have been a professional photographer for more than 10 years. In that time I am proud to have been published in Billboard Magazine, in Calendars, on clothing and merchandise, and publications around the world. I specialize in travel, live events, and portrait photography and I bring each of these specialities to my classes. I have been teaching and sharing my love of photography for years, and I am glad to be here to share my love of photography with your learner!
Thanks to wonderful teachers I have had in my life, I went from taking pictures and developing them in a dark room for fun, to taking pictures that were published around the world.
I welcome you to see my work at photobytamea.com. While we will focus on many kinds of photography in class, you can see samples of my own work here.
In my photography classes, I will use hands on activities and kind critiques to advance learning and confidence in taking pictures.
When I am not here, I am always with my cameras and take pictures even on my days off. My favorite photo adventures always include my puppy, Chaplin, who loves to tag along. She will be in some of my photo examples in classes. She's a cutie!
General Class Policies:
- Most important! My classroom is a safe and inclusive place! Learners are expected to treat each other with kindness and respect. Bullying will not be tolerated and I reserve the right to remove any student who treats other learners disrespectfully.
- If a scheduled class does not meet the minimum enrollment, I may contact the parent approximately 24 hours before class time to offer to either transfer their learner to a new day and time. If requested, I may choose to teach the class at the original time.
- Classes will begin on time, even if all learners have not yet arrived.
- If no learners are present in the classroom, I will wait 10 minutes into the scheduled time before exiting the classroom. This will be considered a Student no show.
- If I am late because of having technical challenges myself, I will offer to stay late to make up the missed time, or transfer learners to a new session.
-Please note: Outschool requires verification of each learner. This means that unless Outschool has verified your learner, I will require learners to turn on their live cameras for a beginning of class check in. If cameras are not working or learners are not comfortable with this, please contact Outschool help for verification before class begins. Learner's may be placed in the waiting room while they are resolving their camera issues. I will not offer transfers or refunds in the event that this policy is not followed. This is for the safety and security of learners on the platform.
