***This class might be right for your learner if: -they know little to no Spanish vocabulary -they are willing to repeat Spanish words and phrases -they are able to sit and listen to a short story ***taking turns will be very important in this class so that everyone gets to participate and practice their Spanish. In this ongoing class we will increase our Spanish vocabulary by seeing key words come to life within bilingual stories. The stories are written, illustrated and narrated by Maestra...
-Learners will acquire new vocabulary. -Learners will perfect pronunciation. -Learners will cultivate a positive relationship with the Spanish language. -Learners will aquire an appreciation for stories in other languages.
Maestra Zia is a native Spanish speaker and has two degrees from the University of Puerto Rico. She lived on the island for over 20 years and has worked with the Department of Education there teaching children from Kindergarten through High school. She has also successfully raised fully bilingual children of her own. Maestra Zia greatly enjoys providing simultaneous interpretation for the Hispanic and English-speaking community where she lives.
