In this class, students will understand the science behind superpowers. My Hero is extremely grounded in how their powers work both logically and scientifically. By the end of the class students should have an understanding of how the various characters work, and then be able to apply that knowledge to other realms of science and physics. For instance, when looking at Uravity we will discuss how her gravity powers work, why it makes her sick when she uses them, and then apply and compare that to zero gravity physics in space travel and sci-fi.

I have a huge love of pop culture and all the science, sci-fi and history that goes into it. As a fan of superhero since I was little I have always been fascinated by how their powers work, and even more so when they can be realistically reproduced in some form.
