Each week, students will delve into a new lesson, progressing from the basics of sitting posture and hand placement to mastering foundational skills and playing their first songs. What to Expect: - Engaging Content: Pre-recorded video lessons led by Ms. Emily provide clear instruction and demonstrations, allowing students to learn at their own pace. - Comprehensive Learning: From identifying Middle C to understanding basic music theory to learning 10 recognizable folk songs and nursery rhymes, students will develop a solid foundation in piano fundamentals. - Required Materials: To fully participate in the course, students are encouraged to acquire the green book "My First Piano Lessons" by Emily Norris, available on Amazon or at ebnmusic.com/books. - Learning at Your Own Pace: The course is 11-weeks long, with one video lesson posted each week. Ms. Emily has been teaching piano and voice lessons to young kids since 2009. She has a Bachelor's degree in Music Education and a Master's degree in Educational Technology. She wrote the book My First Piano Lessons, the best-selling children's piano book, published by Penguin Random House. She has her own piano and voice studio, EBN Music, in Rockwall, TX. She teaches both in-person and online private lessons to students of all ages.
