Welcome to my series: Musicals Behind the Scenes! A collection of one-time classes focused on the design and backstage elements that make our favorite musicals so amazing! In this one-time class you will learn everything you need to know about the new musical: Hadestown. From Greek Mythology to set design we will explore everything that went into making this show a huge, Tony-winning success! How does a designer create a look for well known mythological characters set in a post apocalyptic New Orleans with the style of the 1930s? It’s complicated! In this 55 minute class we will discuss the mood and and music for the show along with hearing from the professionals themselves about their work on this show.

Each student will learn the plot, characters, and design aspects (such as set and costume design) of this show. Key note will be used as well as a few behind the scenes videos.
