My music lessons involve a hands-on approach to start or advance the student's musical development. I like to tailor my lessons to the students' wants and needs. I teach fundamentals that pertain to the student's instrument (i.e. hand positioning, finger placement, technique) while correcting bad habits early on that allow accelerated growth. The focus of my classes involves the heart of what makes music so enriching and that is playing. I want each of my students- no matter where they are in the development- to be able to play and have fun on their instrument. Whether it's reading a song out of a book or learning a song by ear off of a recording, I want the student to have fun and to develop a personal connection to their instrument that may stay with them for a lifetime.
