Students will learn the rules for multiply fractions step by step and demonstrate comprehension with a few examples. We will then do the same thing with mix numbers and whole numbers. This lesson is meant to introduce, practice and extend. The last minutes will be used to discuss the notes taken and steps needed to multiply fractions, this will allow me to check for understanding. The goal of this lesson is to have students master the popular lesson of multiplying fractions, improper fractions, and mix numbers.
This is a lesson that I have taught in a private tutoring session and in a public school setting, and I have seen how students struggle to identify the variables needed to master this concept as well as any misconceptions regarding this lesson. This allows me adjust the lesson to individual needs. I will make multiplying fractions very simple for your child.
