Students will learn tips and tricks for multiplication facts for the 3's, 5's 7's, 9's and 11's. I will present one at a time. We will analyze it, copy it down and practice it. Then students will recite the trick performing it on their own notebook. Then we will move on to the next set of multiplication facts. We will repeat this for each of the sets. Students will be able to show what they have learned at the end by performing the tricks, answering questions and even competing against...
Students will implement tips and tricks to recite multiplication facts.
This is a lesson that I have taught both in a public school with a class of 30 students and in private tutoring setting, and I have always been able to identify the misconceptions regarding this lesson. This helps me adjust the lesson to individual needs.
Please have students come to class prepared with a notebook, a pencil and at least two colored pens.
