I believe strongly that students learn best in math by exploring various strategies and then deciding what works best for them. In this class, we will do just that as we work to strengthen our multiplication skills during this 2 week long camp. We will meet a total of 4 times, for 45 minutes each class.
We will practice multiplying with all numbers through 11, as well as various strategies to solve such as equal grouping, repeated addition, and multiplication arrays)

Our 2 weeks will go as follows:
Week 1
Day 1: Focusing on 2's, 5's and 10's + equal grouping and repeated addition
Day 2: Focusing on 3's, 4's and 6's + multiplication arrays
Week 2
Day 1: Focusing on 7's, 8's and 9's + exploration of all strategies
Day 2: Review of all numbers + 11 and continued exploration of all strategies其他詳情

Students will need to have a small handheld white board and marker OR pencil and paper. We will also have worksheets to print out that will be posted in the classroom.
