Students will learn what multiplication is as well as will learn how to solve multiplication fact problems through 12. They will also be introduced to and practice making arrays to aid them in solving multiplication fact problems. They will watch the teacher solve problems, solve problems with the teacher, and then work problems on their own. Having a strong understanding of addition will help them to be successful in making arrays and solving multiplication fact problems through 12. Possible problem examples could be 4x6=24 or 9x11=99.
