In this course students will have the chance for a one-on-one story time. The stories can be catered to your individual students interest or I can choose books, whichever is preferred. The student will have a chance to join in on the reading fun and also focus on reading comprehension throughout the story. Since this is a one-on-one class there is a lot of flexibility in meeting your students individual needs and changing as your students needs change. I look forward to sharing our joy of reading together. Students will practice the following skills *Making meaning of the text *Drawing Connections *Predictions *Vocabulary, understanding words and their meanings * Summarizing

Hello,
My name is Teacher Sarah and I have been teaching online in China for over three years. I look forward to meeting new learners in America. I believe that all children can form a love for reading at a young age when given the correct tools. My goal is to provide you with the necessary tools to be a successful readers. Beginning with individual letter sounds and cvc words, until the student can blend the sounds to begin reading for younger students.
When I am not teaching I enjoy getting outside rather the activity is hiking, kayaking and taking walks with my family and dogs. I look forward to meeting you eager learners.
