I have served as a middle and high school teacher/ counselor for many years. In this capacity, I have watched teenagers develop their own moral compass with or without the information that they need in order to do it well. I have learned about philosophy in the processes of helping to guide them to sound decision-making practices, and hope to share that knowledge with even more students on this platform.
We will not discuss any extreme situations in this course. If an extreme is brought up by a student, I will refer that student back to his/her parents for a more serious discussion. This class is created to help students build solid leadership skills only.
