For this 5-week self-paced class, I (Ms. Kelsey) will be demonstrating in video lessons how to do each work from my interactive, "drag and drop" Montessori Pink Series works. 

We will focus on each vowel per week with CVC and sight words. The interactive, "drag and drop" features we will go over with each vowel each week will consist of these activities:

1. Matching pictures with ending sounds

2. Matching CVC words with pictures

3. Spelling CVC words with Moveable Alphabet letters (control of error is letters needed for each picture only)

4. Practicing reading CVC words

5. Practicing reading sight (or puzzle) words

6. Matching simple sentence cards with pictures

 We will also be doing a scavenger hunt during our time together where I will ask your learner to find things around your home that are related to the CVC words for the week (i.e. "Find items in your home that have the -ag ending."). Learners will also ask other learners to find others items related to the CVC words we will be working on as well. Your child can also go at their own pace for these lessons, too!

Here is the breakdown on the types of CVC words we will be going over each week:

Week 1: 'a' CVC words (with sight words)

Week 2: 'I' CVC words (with sight words)

Week 3: 'o' CVC words (with sight words)

Week 4: 'u' CVC words (with sight words)

Week 5: 'e' CVC words (with sight words)

*I will also be providing the access code to the interactive slides and lesson videos via Google Classroom, but all postings and questions must be done on the Outschool classroom page.
