Each week we will conduct a mock trial and discuss the different roles in court. Students will play these roles and learn about how laws are made and interpreted by courts. Students will take turns with the role of attorney, judge, jury, bailiff, witness, and defendant. By playing the different roles students will learn skills such as oral advocacy, speech, and logic. We will play games and discuss the roles of Police officers in questioning witnesses, criminal defense investigators, and...
Oral advocacy, logic, reasoning, how the courts work, the different types of courts, peoples roles in those courts.

Students will be given a fairytale to read each week and assigned a role. Students will need to watch a video or read the story before class and learn the role they were assigned.
