In this class, we will work to improve your reading skills and learn how to understand different types of texts better. Here are the key areas we will focus on.
1) reading strategies - you'll discover ways to summarize stories, make predictions, ask questions and clarify confusing parts.
2) vocabulary growth - we will work on expanding vocabulary and use context clue strategies to decipher unfamiliar words. 
3) analyzing texts - we will learn how to break down different kinds of texts to understand their structure and purpose.
4) finding main ideas - we will practice identifying the main idea details in what you read. 
5) making inferences - we will develop reading skills to help you read between the lines and understand deeper meanings in the text.

I recommend booking this class weekly to build upon the skills we work on each week. We will use a different passage/level each class.
