課堂經歷
Learners will dive into the oceans of the Miocene Epoch and learn all about the megalodon, the world's largest shark to have ever lived. During class, students will learn about fossils of this large shark, its possible origins, diet, behavior, and so much more! Students are encouraged to participate in the class during the PowerPoint presentation that is accompanied by two short videos showcasing what this ancient shark may have looked like and acted like. If your learner has a megalodon tooth they would wish to show off during this class, they are welcome to.

Students will have a greater understanding of the megalodon shark and how it lived during the Miocene Epoch.

If desired, your student may want to have paper and a pencil for notes. If your student has a fossilized megalodon tooth and would like to share it at the end of class please have it with you during class.

My name is Kennedi Travis and I have a passion for passing on knowledge! I have a Bachelor's Degree in Wildlife Management from Dakota Wesleyan University in Mitchell, SD, and worked for the state of South Dakota as a Fisheries Technician for three years. I also participated in Spider Studies and DWU for two years identifying different types of wolf spiders found in the state of South Dakota. I have vast experience volunteering in local classrooms on my days off.
Science, particularly Biology, is one of my favorite things to teach and I also have a special love for history. I value teaching learners of all ages and feel that knowledge is our most valuable resource.
