In "Media Mavericks," teens will explore media literacy by learning to spot and analyze misinformation, disinformation, and media bias through engaging, stand-alone sessions. Each week, they’ll participate in activities like evaluating real-world media and creating fictional scenarios, fostering critical thinking in a supportive environment. The club is designed around interactive group work, discussions, and creative projects, allowing students to take the lead in a fun, hands-on learning experience, with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and dynamic participation.

This class is designed to support neurodiverse learners, including those with ADHD, ASD, and dyslexia. Activities are structured to be flexible, allowing for different paces and learning styles. Visual aids, clear instructions, and interact

All content is age-appropriate, with a focus on neutral real media examples and fictional scenarios. There are no upsetting or controversial topics. Students will use the supervised club space here on the Outschool platform for all their activities.
