Class Experience In this mini lesson, learners will be introduced to the CRAAP Method, a straightforward tool for evaluating the reliability of information sources. As a mini lesson, this class contains one lesson and is a great way to preview my self-paced lessons. What will be taught? The basics of the CRAAP Method: Currency, Relevance, Authority, Accuracy, and Purpose. What topics will you cover? A brief overview of each of the five criteria. How to apply the CRAAP Method using a specific example: a web article on a health topic. How is your class structured? A step-by-step explanation of each CRAAP criterion. An example using a health-related web article to demonstrate how the method works. The example provides an imaginary scenario of helping a loved one find reliable information about a health topic. The scenario briefly explores the problem of misinformation available on social media, especially about health-related topics, and the necessity of reputable information to make informed choices. How will you teach? Video Lesson of Narrated Presentation - To introduce and explain the key concepts. Example analysis: To show the method in action with a web article. What’s your teaching style?
