Mean, median, mode, and range are some of the measures of central tendency used in statistics to summarize or describe data. These four measurements are used throughout a student's math career and in everyday life (for example, in calculating GPA). In this class, taught via video slide lesson, students will learn how to find four measures of central tendency: mean, median, mode, and range. They will also practice identifying data from graphs to find these measurements. Finally, they will learn how to find quartiles and measure interquartile range and use these measurements to create a box and whisker plot. In doing so, students will be able to confidently apply these skills in several formats and to see real-life application.

I'm an accountant with a teaching background who enjoys learning and strives to foster a love of learning in students through games and interactive learning. I believe students learn best when they are having fun and interacting with the material.
I have always had a passion for learning and have diverse interests. I'm especially passionate about building strong foundations in language and math. I believe confidence in these two areas will give students the tools to learn almost anything they'd like to in life.
As an accountant, I have expertise in mathematics and finance. I'm an Enrolled Agent and believe everyone should be proficient in budgeting and personal finance. I believe a strong foundation in math is important to develop advanced skills with numbers later in life. Likewise, strong grammar and language skills will help students communicate effectively and give them the tools to learn anything they'd like to. I'm also passionate about culture and language and have formally studied nine languages, including studying abroad. I want to share the world with students through language and exploration.
I hope to share my love of learning with each of my students as they explore their personal interests. In doing so, students will become lifelong learners and continue to grow in and out of the classroom.
