數學輔導 - 小學和中學

Individualized tutoring designed to assist learner in becoming confident in ability and achieving mathematical success.  I am certified in multiple curriculums (Texas, Louisiana, PYP, IB, UK National, Cambridge through Y8). Lessons for learning can be as simple as mastering foundational addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to more complex content such as geometry, algebra, fractions, decimals and working with money. Delving into simple word problems to more complex multi-step problems. Sessions are set at a tolerable time limit (30 minute blocks) to focus on the task at hand as to not overwhelm the learner. Together we will discover the learning strategies that are most effective for the learner and develop a skill to achieve mastery. This will be accomplished through math games at are educational and beneficial to learning, technology will be used interactively to model problems, use interactive manipulatives, and assess outcomes of understanding, common household items (measuring cups and spoon, blocks, legos, game dice, play money), homework (student's from classroom teacher) and traditional calculation methods.  Sessions will start with a 5 minute catch-up to determine what will be worked on during the session. (This can be commuted with me by the parent as well), 20 minutes of the time will be focused on skill set, homework review, and the last 5 minutes will be to confirm,  with an exit ticket (a final problem to complete), understanding, mastery, or additional help is needed. This is a fully interactive session and learners are expected to participate.
