In this 30 minute tutoring session, the focus is on improving the student's confidence & skills in math topics they are struggling with. I have two options for the session. 1) Topic Request: Students can request a topic they need additional support in, and I will create a plan for unit plan for bringing the student up to grade level. For example, for a 4th grader who is struggling with fractions, we may work on equivalent fractions one week, comparing fractions the next week, and then...
Students will improve their skill in specific math topics by receiving multiple opportunities to practice and lots of helpful feedback. Some examples of learning goals are: - Students will learn how to multiply 2 digit numbers. - Students will understand how fractions work on a number line. - Students will learn how to divide 3 digit numbers by 1 digit number.
I taught 4th Grade for 2 years and have experience tutoring students in 3rd-7th grade in math.
