In this math tutoring session students will become proficient in basic math concepts. Student will build math fluency in counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, divisions, place value, problem solving, and measurement. Student will have fun solving real world problems and engaging in various math activities. The first day of tutoring will be use for a math assessment this will ensure students are getting instruction tailored to their personal learning needs. My method for teaching is the I do , We do, You do practice. This allows the student to watch the teacher, practice with the teacher and try math skills taught independently. During my lesson I will teach with my white board and sharing my screen using props, Power Point and digital learning resources. Students will be engaged with me throughout the lesson with interactive activities. This class is a great review of basic math skills.

Students will be able to solve basic math problems with proficiency, fluency and reasoning. Students will be able to solve basic word problems at their grade level. The goal of these tutoring sessions is to build strong foundational math skills for young learners that will build students confidence in math.

My name is Teacher Ms. Gee. I hold a Bachelor Degree in Elementary Education. I have over 10 years of experience teaching in Public, Charter and Private Schools. I have taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th grade throughout my brick and mortar classroom experience. I have taught online for five years and it has been amazing watching my students make academic progress all over the globe.
I look forward to teaching fun, exciting and engaging lessons to the students on Outschool. My courses will offer supplemental lessons and extra practice for early elementary students to reach their full academic potential.
I really enjoy helping students build strong foundational skills in phonics, reading, and math. I love integrating subjects and getting students immersed in the learning process in an interactive and creative way.
I am a firm advocate for small group and differentiated learning. I also believe in teaching the whole child including academics as well as social emotional learning through literature. As a teacher I have seen students enjoy learning when lessons are fun and tailored to meet their individual needs.
So what do I enjoy doing when Im not teaching??
I love traveling, roller skating, riding my bike and going to the beach. I also enjoy spending time with my family doing fun activities and exploring new adventures.
