During this class, students will learn to use "the shape strategy" when using the standard algorithm to solve 3 digit by 2 digit multiplication. This strategy has helped so many of my students master this essential math skill! This class comes with the following printables to support your learner: 1. Standard Algorithm Anchor Chart 2. Strategy Graphic Organizers 3. "Among Us" Themed Multiplication Table 4. Blank "Among Us" Themed Multiplication Table We will discuss the standard algorithm for 3 digit by 2 digit multiplication. This strategy helps students organize their work while remembering the steps needed to solve these types of equations. After reviewing the skill, students will engage in a unique version of the popular "Among Us" game. Is this your first time playing "Among Us"? That's ok - we will review the game rules at the beginning of class. This version is teacher created, so please be assured that the game is appropriate for all ages. Students love this social deduction game! After correctly solving multiplication equations, students will reveal clues about who the "imposter" is. This suspenseful game is a great way to keep students engaged while learning!
