In this six-week class, I will walk students through the basics of Algebra 1 skills such as expressions, order of operations, adding rational numbers, add/subtract/multiply/divide rational numbers, the distributive property, combining like terms and percent of change. I will demonstrate the steps needed to solve the problem and have the students watch. I'm a certified math teacher and have taught middle school math for 8 years. I've worked with students who have learning disabilities as well as students who are gifted.
