Being an educator is a huge part of who I am and I am passionate about helping kiddos and families through teaching in unique and effective ways. Below is a list of my qualifications:

- Bachelors of Science in Elementary Education
- Current Indiana teaching license for K-6 with Reading Specialist Add-on
- 7 years teaching fifth grade
- 1 year teaching STEM (PLTW) to 1st - 5th grade
- Rated Highly Effective using the National Institute for Excellence in Teaching (NIET) rubric
- Teacher of the Year 2016-2017

What makes me an effective teacher is the passion I put into creating highly engaging lessons and the ability to adapt to meet learners' needs in the moment. I've been told I have a talent for being able to take content and teach it in a variety of ways that appeal to a range of different learning styles. I am skilled and experienced in teaching all students including special education students and English learners. I set high expectations and have a ton of fun! 

I had my first baby in 2020 and made the difficult decision to stay home and care for him. However, I missed teaching so much, I knew I had to find a way to keep having an impact on little minds.
