What Topics Will You Cover? • The Staff • Clef Signs (Treble and Bass) • Line and Space Names for Notes • Musical Notation: Notes and Rests • Note Values (Whole, Half, Quarter, and Eighth Notes) • Time Signatures and Measures • Practical Exercises and Comprehensive Reviews How Is Your Class Structured? • 10-Week Fixed-Length Course: One session per week, each lasting 35 minutes. • Each lesson builds on the previous one, ensuring students grasp foundational concepts before moving on to more advanced topics. • The first 5 weeks introduce new topics, while weeks 6 and 10 are dedicated to interactive reviews to reinforce learning. How Will You Teach? • Interactive Lectures: I will explain concepts with clear examples, ensuring students understand each topic. • Visual Aids: Slides with musical examples will help illustrate key ideas and engage visual learners. • Hands-On Practice: Students will complete guided exercises in class, such as identifying notes and clapping rhythms. • Q&A and Discussion: Students can ask questions and discuss their understanding during class to ensure clarity.
