This class is for students who have beginner to intermediate level experience in playing the piano. Students should be comfortable playing a simple melody with both hands.  Vocal training is not a requirement.  

"Master the Art of Simultaneously Singing and Playing Piano With Expert Guidance" is a class designed to help students develop the skills needed to perform and play music simultaneously on the piano and with their vocals. Whether you're a beginner or an experienced musician, this immersive course is designed to enhance your performance abilities and improve your musical expression.

Learners will learn how to modify their singing from standing-up to sitting down.  They will learn how to maintain proper posture, breath control, and voice projections. Students will learn how recording helps with practice and performance preparation. 

Students will learn how to coordinate their playing and singing to create a seamless and cohesive performance. Students will learn how to modify the song to play chords when singing and interject piano parts when appropriate.  

Students will learn how develop practice skills to build stage presence, connect with the audience, and maintain confidence. 

Students will have the opportunity to perform (not required) and to receive feedback from their peers and instructors.  

The class will be conducted through a combination of instructional lectures, hands-on exercises, and individual and group performance sessions. Students will have the opportunity to receive feedback and guidance from the instructor, as well as collaborate with other students to share ideas and inspiration.
