This class is a one-on-one personalized math tutoring class. Although the age range is for grades 3rd-8th, I am able to work with younger students as well. 

The aim of this class is to support students who are experiencing difficulties with grade-level concepts as well as closing gaps from previous years. Our first class will be an evaluation class that will include a review with grade-level questions. This allows me to see which concepts your student is struggling with and what areas we need to work on.

Topics covered can include but are not limited to: foundation of numbers; addition, subtraction, multiplication and division; all operations with decimals; all operations with fractions; place value; order of operations PEMDAS; tips for tackling word problems; operations with integers; proportional reasoning with ratios and rates; one- variable equations and inequalities; algebraic reasoning; data analysis; personal financial literacy; geometry and measurement; slope and y-intercept.

Students are also welcome to provide homework assignments or questions related to a specific concept that they wish to review. To ensure that our time together is most effective for your student, send me a copy of the homework or questions at least 24 hours before class.

We will meet once a week, however, if you would like more classes per week, send me a message and we can work out a schedule together.
