Student will be provided with one-on-one tutoring. This course will help students catch up, review or enrich in math concepts. I will provide homework help, fluency practice, and practice with any skill deficits.
Students learn strategies and techniques to help them become more fluent and understanding of math concepts. Students will have hands-on opportunities to implement strategies to solve math problems.
This course is designed for students from elementary to middle school math.
Homework help includes:
1) Fluency practice includes the following examples:
single digit addition and subtraction
multiplication and division facts; factors 0-12
2) review of grade level standards and curriculum
3) understand and apply word problems to real-world situations

Students will gain a better understanding of numbers (number sense) in order to solve math problems.Students will gain a better understanding of the present concepts that they are working on in their educational journey.

As a classroom teacher, I have taught elementary math for over twenty years. I am familiar with state standards and I am also know foundational skills students need. I am also aware of common deficits students lack in the foundational skills because of the time constraints and lack of opportunity to practice skills ongoing in order to retain them.
In addition to my classroom experience, I teach in various settings. I have taught large and small group classes online. Furthermore, I provide one-on-one tutoring.評論
