Join us for a Casual Build and Socialization Time!  On your mark, get set, BUILD!  This class is for your young engineers!  We will have a new Building Bricks Challenge randomly selected each week. Brick  building  is an excellent way for our students to gain confidence, develop fine motor skills and learn about how things work! Students can come in at any level of building for this class.  We will modify and adapt to our learners skill level.  For students who are up for an extra challenge I will add  elements to each building challenge!  

 In this class students should expect to come to class ready to build with their plastic Bricks collection and a clear working space.  We will introduce ourselves and dive right into building.  Each student will be responsible for his or her own building.  What you can expect in this class:

1.  I will present a new challenge each  in class for the students to see.
2.  Each student will have about 30-40 minutes to build independently. 
3.  I will give guidance and suggestions as students build.  I will encourage to them to add, adapt and grow their creation.
4.  I will encourage discussion and dialogue while the students are building.  I want this to be an "open mic" class where students can chat while they work on their builds.  
5.  I will facilitate our discussion at the end. We will take time for each student to show their "build" and tell us how they were inspired to create it. 


This is a very hands on class.  There will not be a formal lecture.  I want our students to work on their discussions skills as they share their finished project.  In this class we will stay as "unmuted" as possible (barring feedback from a device or noise in the house).  Students can chat as they work and share their projects and pieces they love.   I can not wait to see what these creative minds can accomplish!  

This class requires students have at least a small plastic bricks set and a spot to build.  We want to be able to build and share!  
**** Please note this is not an "instructional" class.  I will be encouraging and supporting but I do not show the students how to build.  I give them suggestions, ask question, encourage and facilitate group learning.  

Parents please note that this class age range is 7-12 years of age.  I am intentionally holding firm to that age range as this class is designed for older students.  Please see my other classes for students that fall below that age category!  Thank you for understanding in an effort to provide a positive experience for all students enrolled!

** The zoom window will open approximately 2 minutes prior to class start time! 
** I will accommodate transfers outside of 24 hours notice.  This allows me to transfer your student and also recoup a learner from the seat they previously occupied.  I do appreciate your understanding that for my ability to allow new learners to access class.
** I do not grant refund requests for missed classes.  Please refer to Outschool for refund requests related to illness or changed schedules which fall outside this classes limited refund policy.
