This class will teach you all about the history of marine life in our oceans. We will follow the timeline from some of the earliest marine creatures like the anomalocaris (its name literally means strange shrimp), the highly unusual helicoprion, the ichthyosaur and much more, including of course, the megalodon. Our journey will take us through 5 mass extinction events, we will learn what caused these creatures to become extinct and explore some of the living fossils we have in our oceans...
Students will learn about the evolution of ocean creatures, exploring their anatomy, behaviour, diet and reasons for their extinction.
