In this class we will be making a pop-up Christmas tree card. I will show how to make the tree and some decorations, then your child can decorate the tree however he/she desires. We will have an opportunity in class to share with the other students what everyone has made. Your child can keep decorating the card after class and write a message for a loved one. This project will be great practice for folding and cutting paper and great way to spread Christmas cheer! For this project all you need are simple supplies that you probably already have at home.

Hello, my name is Ashley. I am very passionate about sharing my love and knowledge of nature and art. I teach classes about animals and nature as well as songs and arts and crafts. I believe the best way to learn is through hands-on activities and fun experiences. In my classes, I plan on combining teaching something interesting about nature, then doing a fun song or craft project about what we learned.
I graduated from the University of California, Santa Cruz with a degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2018. I have taken many classes on zoology, wildlife biology, and conservation. I am also a self-taught artist, musician, and I love creative projects. I have taught elementary school children in an outdoor garden classroom at the UCSC Life Lab.
I am continuously finding new art and creative projects at home. I enjoy being creative through drawing and painting, photography, gardening, and diy projects. I hope to share my creative passions as much as I can.
