This ongoing class will have kids dipping into the paper recycling bin each week to create a fun paper project. It is arts & crafts? YES! Is it STEM/STEAM? YES, again! The participants will receive patient step-by-step instructions for each project as well as a little history, math and science behind each project. Differing abilities will be accommodated as needed. Participants will be expected to interact with instructor and classmates. Class-specific materials, along with links or...
Participants will: -Learn step-by-step how to complete the project of the week -Learn the science and history behind the projects they work on
Note: a class-specific supply list and any file attachments will be distributed after registration and before the class begins. General supplies to have on hand for each class: Paper: copy paper(8.5" x 11"), paper from recycling bin (flyers, magazines, etc.), tissue paper and/or origami paper Pencil or Pen Scissors Ruler Markers Glue: white glue and/or glue stick Tape: masking tape, cellophane tape
Participants may be handling scissors, tape, and glue. If your child needs assistance handling or manipulating these items, please be nearby to assist if needed.
If class-specific source material is required, it will be sent after class registration and prior to the start of the class.
