We still start class by greeting each of our friends and then the students will be invited to participate in a fun warm-up song. Each lesson will focus on one letter and its sound. Students will learn target words for each letter using different songs, stories, and puppets. At the end of the class, the students will be invited to make their own puppet using the teacher's handout. A link for the handout will be emailed to the learner after registering for the class. Students will learn: 1. about taking turns and being part of a classroom community. 2. about letters and the sounds they make. 3. target words. 4. to follow directions as they make their own alphabet puppet.
Supplies include: 1. a one-page handout will need to be printed out before class. 2. crayons or markers to color the picture. 3. scissors for older students. **Older students may cut out their alphabet puppet. Parents will need to supervise this activity.
