Guinea pigs are the cutest and most adorable pocket pets in the world but they can be a little shy sometimes, can't they? Carrying them in a carrier helps them feel safe and keeps them warm and it's really quite fun. Carrying your pig in this carrier pouch gives them a chance to become more familiar with your voice and scent (which is great for bonding) while staying safe and warm inside. In this class you will learn more about guinea pigs as you craft a reusable, no-sew carrier by following step-by-step instructions.

You will need the following materials:
- fleece measuring 18" X 18" (a medium weight fleece works best for this project)
- fleece measuring 22” X 2" for the strap
- scissors
- ruler or measuring tape
- marker
- some of your pet's favorite snacks to use as positive reinforcement

Of course, I'll want to meet your pet and you'll get to meet one or more of my  guinea pigs! 

LEARNING GOALS:
- student will follow step by step instructions and create a carrier pouch
- student will practice their measuring skills
- student will learn about the power of positive reinforcement (ex: food)
- student will learn about different animal diets
- student will express their creativity when choosing their fabric
