In this class students will get to practice their reading fluency and comprehension skills each week as they enjoy a different Magic Treehouse book each week in a comfortable classroom environment. We will pause periodically to discuss vocabulary and events in the book.Week 2Lesson 2The Knight at DawnWe will take turns reading aloud the beginning chapters of The Knight at Dawn by Mary Pope Osborne (Book 2). We will pause periodically to discuss vocabulary and events in the book.Week 3Lesson 3Mummies in the MorningWe will take turns reading aloud the beginning chapters of Mummies in the Morning by Mary Pope Osborne (Book 3). We will pause periodically to discuss vocabulary and events in the book.Week 4Lesson 4Pirates Past NoonWe will take turns reading aloud the beginning chapters of Pirates Past Noon by Mary Pope Osborne (Book 4). 頻率: 1-2 per week回饋: 包括細節: An optional activity workbook will be sent out to students after each class. These workbooks include comprehension questions, writing activities, and activities like mazes and word searches as well.
Students should be able to read most words on a page of a Magic Treehouse book independently. Teacher is available to support and help students decode unfamiliar words throughout the book.
Students will need a copy of the assigned Magic Treehouse book by Mary Pope Osborne as listed in the class schedule. 1. Dinosaurs Before Dark (#1) by Mary Pope Osborne 2. The Knight At Dawn (#2) by Mary Pope Osborne 3. Mummies in the Morning (#3) by Mary Pope Osborne 4. Pirates Past Noon (#4) by Mary Pope Osborne 5. Night of the Ninjas (#5) by Mary Pope Osborne 6.
