This class is for young learners who can already play chess, but haven't yet gotten a firm handle on tactics and strategy - a great followup course to take after finishing one of our "Low Sensory Chess" courses.  Some of the lessons include taking a deeper look at the strategies discussed in the previous course, while other lessons introduce brand new topics altogether.  Each week's lesson starts with about 10-15 minutes of explanation and discussion of the week’s topic, followed by, for the remaining duration of each class, the learners collectively playing as a team against the teacher for practice (the teacher will move the pieces on the screen for both sides).  

This class requires no external software or websites, and is specifically designed for ease of access for learners who will only have to use Outschool’s integrated Zoom Video Conferencing, to prevent over-stimulation & overwhelming moments of sensory overload for young learners.

Week 7:  The King & Queen Sandwich Checkmate
Week 8:  Conclusion:  Review, Chess Puzzles, and more
