In this course, students will be given guided practice problems to solve involving dividing multiple digit numbers (between two and four digits) by single-digit numbers, both with and without remainders, using long division in the standard algorithm. This should not be the student's first exposure to this mathematical operation. Students will be given immediate feedback, guided error correction, and reteaching as needed during the class. Strategies such as using area models and/or tape diagrams to find answers will be demonstrated as needed. Students should have a basic understanding of place value  to the thousands place before attending this class.
