Students will review and sketch commonly known geometric shapes and learn about organic shapes. While drawing these shapes, we will discuss a variety of tasks we might want to have a robot do for us or help us with. Students will chose one or more tasks for their robot to be an "expert" in.
Using a variety of shapes and lines, students will "build" their robots in pencil, then add detail and color with the materials they have available (crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.).
At the end of class, all students will have the opportunity to share their robot and explain how it helps them, and what special features the robot has to accomplish its tasks.
