**PARENTS PLEASE NOTE:** PREREQUISITE: Please make sure your learner has already taken my beginner class, "Draw an Anime Self-Portrait, or has previous successful experience drawing anime. This class WILL be difficult for students who have never drawn anime before. In this intermediate/advanced level class, learners will be guided in several sketch/practice drawings of figures in Anime style. Each week we will concentrate on a different aspect of the anime character, such as a 3/4 view...
As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.

Lots of paper (a sketchbook, preferably devoted to anime drawings, is strongly recommended. Students can track their progress and keep all study sketches in one place). pencils, eraser, pencil sharpener For final copy, tools for outlining, such as an ultra-fine point Sharpie or Micron pen, and colored pencils or other coloring tools may be used.
