Class Experience In this fun and interactive 30-minute class, kids (ages 4-6) will explore emotions through storytelling, movement, and play-based activities. We’ll learn to name feelings, express them safely, and practice simple calming techniques like belly breathing and counting. Through games, songs, and a hands-on craft, kids will gain confidence in understanding their emotions while developing important social-emotional skills in a supportive and engaging environment. This class is perfect for little ones who love to move, create, and express themselves! Class Structure: 🟡 Emotion faces game & check-in 🟡 Story Time – Interactive reading of The Color Monster (or similar) 🟡 Play-Based Learning – Emotion charades & calm-down toolbox practice 🟡 Hands-On Craft – Feeling Faces activity 🟡 Closing & Goodbye – Review, belly breathing, & fun goodbye song Skills Your Child Will Learn: ✔ Recognizing and naming emotions ✔ Expressing feelings in a safe way ✔ Practicing simple self-regulation techniques ✔ Building social-emotional confidence Materials Needed: Paper plate or blank paper Crayons/markers Optional: Stickers or googly eyes (If you don’t have these, no worries! Kids can participate without them.) As a parent coach and mom, I understand firsthand how important it is to teach kids about emotions in a way that feels natural, playful, and supportive. I’ve spent years helping parents navigate emotional regulation with their little ones, using gentle, practical strategies that actually work in real life.
With my deep love for children and experience raising my own, I bring a real-world, heart-centered approach to teaching emotions. I know that big feelings can feel overwhelming (for both kids and parents!), so my goal is to create a fun, engaging space where little ones can explore their emotions with confidence—through movement, storytelling, and hands-on activities.
I believe that emotional regulation isn’t just a skill—it’s a lifelong tool that helps kids build stronger relationships, communicate their needs, and feel safe in their big emotions. I’m here to make that learning process simple, playful, and full of connection.
