In this guided printmaking lesson, students will learn art vocabulary around printmaking and carving. I teach through: tell, show, do, feedback (a method I learned in my time with Starbucks, a long time ago) I find that students learn in a variety of ways (hearing, seeing and doing). Sketchbook of students choice (I'm using canson mixed media XL https://amzn.to/2Zg2j6J) pencil eraser ruler carving tools (https://amzn.to/2YlsIAW) printing ink or acrylic paint (https://amzn.to/317lkuG) brayers (https://amzn.to/312dfrb) linoleum (https://amzn.to/2AYsSVW) And a non-porous surface to roll ink out on, for this lesson aluminium foil will work. For students who want to invest in their printmaking they will want something longer lasting like acrylic sheets, glass or marble.
