Come join me for a fun Valentine’s Day themed language arts experience. We will begin with pre-reading discussion questions about the book. Students will not need to have their own copy of the book. I will do a read a loud in class. Then, we will have more discussion after the reading the book by responding to questions, encouraging critical thinking skills, and supporting reading comprehension. Each student will be encouraged to share their own ideas and respond to peers in a respectful way,...
Students will use higher order thinking skills to discuss a book. Then will learn how to write didactice cinquain poetry, and create original works of their own.
I have a Masters degree in Education from the University of South Florida. I have been working with students for decades. I have had experience teaching in the classroom from pre-school to high school. The majority of my classroom experience was spent in 2nd and 3rd grades. I have my ESOL certificate and have taught English to non-English speakers on line for several years. I teach reading, writing, language arts, social skills, public speaking classes, and ESL on line as well. I am a passionate, energetic educator that loves to inspire students to confidence, growth, and mastery.
